My True Love

With today being Valentine's Day,

I would like this post to be my valentine to my husband

Dear Sonny,
I want you to know that I love you so much that my heart is overflowing!
You have been so good to me and I want to thank you. Thank you for being a wonderful Christian example to me and for wanting to serve God. Thank you for being our leader and for working so hard every day to provide for us. I thank God for giving you to me.
I love you so, so much!

Yours forever,
Mary

Big Snow Day!

I'm a little behind on posts but this one is so cute! In our house, snow is fun but it also means Daddy is leaving or gone. Since Sonny plows during the winter, he is often away and Luke just misses the stuffing out him! If he leaves to plow while Luke is awake, Luke runs to the front window and watches Sonny leave in his big, white truck. Lukes yells "Da" over and over, thinking Sonny can hear him as he pulls off.

Luke yelling "Da"!

Our mound of snow next to our mailbox.

Sonny plowing neighbors down the street.

Luke watching Sonny plow our neighbors next door.

Daddy finishes his route by plowing our driveway.

There are days when Sonny is gone for twelve hours, comes home for a snack and then leaves again for another twelve hours. It is a hard, tiring job but no matter how tired he is from plowing, he always has time to play with the boys! Thanks, Daddy!

Delights

Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

definition: de·light n. Great pleasure; joy.

Often I think and wonder why God is so good to me. It's amazing to me how He knows the desires of our heart, whether big or small. I remember asking God for a good husband and at certain times thought how wonderful it would be to marry a Pastor's son. I remember thinking as a little girl how I wanted to have boys so I could be a soccer mom and play sports with them. I remember hoping that my children would look like me, at least in some small way...

Well, tonight, after a long day of church and dinner at Grandma and Grandpa T's, we came home to have a snack and play as a family. We shared cheese and crackers, popcorn and some dessert. I was holding my Zachy and watching Sonny and Luke play cars. In that moment, it hit me. My desires were right in front of me. Sonny is a husband like no other. He is loving and amazing and a Pastor's son at that! I have two boys, who are loads of fun, and of which are blond hair and blue eyes. Sonny is very good about reminding me to take pictures so we took a few shots tonight.

Oh, and about my kids looking like me... Well, they are very blond and blue eyed, which is not me, but look at those cheeks! They're mine!

Having great delight or joy in the Lord will bring so much joy to your life!
