I have a lovely kitchen window just above my sink that looks out to my backyard. I am "the dishwasher" so I spent countless hours looking out of this window, thinking many thoughts. This week, I was watching different birds at the feeders, some deer walk through the yard, some neighbor kids in their pool, Lukey in the swing... All of these things, in some similar way, made me think what a great Saviour we have that cares about every little detail. He knows me. He holds the future. I often sing the song "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" as I watch the many birds that come and eat bags and bags of food faster than I can buy it! But, it just reminds me how He watches me. He watches over me! He is my provider, protector and friend. I can talk to him whenever I want. I don't ever have to wait, He is always there. What a comforting thought!
Maybe you've had a hard day today, a tiresome week, a long month even... He is there! Maybe you are sick or not feeling well... He is there! Maybe you have a struggle and you just can't figure out what to do... He is there! Maybe you think "does He care"? Yes, He does! This is one of my favorite verses: "1 Samuel 12:24 Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you."
Read the words to this song ("Does Jesus Care") - they will be a blessing and a great reminder how Jesus is always there for you!
Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress,
And the way grows weary and long?
Refrain:Oh, yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?
Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?
Does Jesus care when I’ve said “goodbye”
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks—
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?
